Raspa large necklace

Bikini 25 comes from Maite's childhood summers: the car loaded to the roof, the smell of old swimsuit rubber and mornings spent diving around her grandfather while he gathered cockles.

On that sandy seabed all kinds of fish appeared and, every morning, told her about their underwater cities, their outfits for feast days and secrets that hardly anyone knew.

The fishbone is the fish once it has told you everything: just the line, the spine, what matters. This is the largest in the series, and it hangs from a long chain so it moves with you, the way they moved in the water.

The fishbone is cut out and then finished by hand: it is sanded, polished and matted until every bone is clean.

It receives the white bronze plating, the 24-carat gold plating in a matte finish and a final hypoallergenic coating.

The series also has "party dress" versions, enamelled by hand. This is the bare fishbone, in matte gold.

It is made on Calle Alameda, in the Barrio de las Letras, in a workshop you can visit.

With a 90 cm chain, the fishbone falls at chest height: it looks great over a jumper, a shirt or a long dress, and in summer straight on the skin.

You can wear it with the Raspa mini necklace to play with two lengths.

The hypoallergenic coating protects the piece from contact with skin and perfume. Keep it dry and on its own, and avoid putting on perfume while wearing it. With normal use and this care, the gold plating lasts for years.
