Double Leaf ring

Leaf belongs to the Silence collection, and it grows out of a need for silence in a world, or a moment, full of noise. A need to stop and pay attention to the small things.

That is why the leaves in this series are so tiny and the whole design is so simple. It combines the organic with the linear: these are not ordinary branches, but very symmetrical ones. Maite did not want them to intertwine or tangle; each branch goes its own way and the leaves stay apart, and that is where the feeling of lightness comes from.

In this ring, the branch and its leaves are shared between two fingers.

The branches and leaves are worked by hand, and the piece then receives its 24-carat gold plating in a matte finish; in the white version, the enamel is painted on by hand.

It is made on Calle Alameda, in the Barrio de las Letras, in a workshop you are welcome to visit. If you come by, you will probably see the next one being made.

It is worn across two fingers and is adjustable, so there is no need to get the size right. Because the leaves are small and the branches never tangle, it covers two fingers without feeling heavy. The same leaf appears on the Leaf necklaces, earrings, single ring, bangle and brooch.

The lacquer protects the plating from contact with skin and perfume. Keep it dry and stored separately, and avoid putting on scent while wearing it. With normal wear and this care, the gold plating lasts for years.
